Baros Surgery

A non-reversible procedure that removes two-thirds of the stomach, creating a narrow sleeve. Reduces hunger hormone ghrelin and achieves 60–70% excess weight loss. Performed via SILS at Baros Apollo.

The gold standard in bariatric surgery. Creates a small stomach pouch and bypasses the duodenum, combining restriction with malabsorption. Delivers 70–80% excess weight loss with strong diabetes resolution.

Combines sleeve gastrectomy with an intestinal bypass while preserving the normal digestive route and full endoscopic access. Delivers weight loss comparable to OAGB with superior long-term monitoring.

Combines sleeve gastrectomy with duodenal bypass, producing strong metabolic and hormonal effects. Particularly effective for improving type 2 diabetes and insulin resistance as the primary clinical goal.

Combines sleeve gastrectomy with a single-loop intestinal bypass for maximum weight loss through strong malabsorption. Primarily reserved for super-obese patients or as a revisional second-stage procedure.
